ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE
The IREC Desk is responsible for sourcing, trading and optimizing supply and demand in renewable energy certificates across more than 35 countries around the world. You will be building strong relationships with key counterparties and translating developments into opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for the sales and origination teams including develop and execute successfully trading strategies.
- Take on responsibility on managing the risk of the I-REC book while adhering to the given risk mandate including contributing to develop our trading and analytical tools and capabilities.
- Helping to structure strategic transactions and trades and negotiate long-term OTC contracts.
- Proposing new deal structures and transactions complying with the market’s requirements.
- Conducting due diligence and investment research on relevant trading strategies.
What does a rewarding career mean to you?
Key Requirements
- At least 2+ years of working experience within a trading or portfolio management role (preferably commodities) with a Masters degree qualification or equivalent.
- Exposure to the environmental commodities market or renewable energy is advantageous and the capacity to understand and negotiate complex OTC contracts.
- A pro-active and entrepreneurial attitude combined with ownership mentality.
- Analytical thinking – programming skills advantageous (Python, R, VBA).
- Excellent command of English, an additional foreign language advantageous.
