The Senior Product Design Manager plays a critical role in driving the long-term scalability, quality and success of STX Group’s climate tech solutions. You will play a crucial leadership role in shaping foundational design strategies, contribute to product vision, and mentor product designers to grow their craft and capacity to think experiences that are future ready. At the verge of a green commodities management paradigm shift, you’ll lead solutions that anticipate on customer needs in new futures, meet business goals in an evolving market, and are considerate of the rapidly changing tech landscape.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Design Leadership: Define and lead the long-term design vision for STX’s climate tech products, shaping the user experience the tools that help businesses manage their green commodities portfolio. Working closely with a cross-functional team and multiple stakeholders at STX ensuring alignment with company goals, user needs, and technical constraints.
- Human-Centered Innovation: Design with a deep understanding of diverse user perspectives and societal shifts, focusing on solutions that contribute meaningfully to global climate goals.
- Design Quality Stewardship: Lead the ongoing development and evolution of the design libraries, ensuring consistency, scalability, and usability across the product suite; whilst staying on top of emerging trends, technologies and best practices to ensure our products remain competitive and forward-thinking.
- Advocacy for Design Culture: Champion a user-centric mindset across the product lifecycle, from ideation to final delivery, contributing to shaping and defining a customer centric processes and culture
- Mentorship & Influence: Provide mentorship and guidance to senior and junior designers, as well as stakeholders and collaborators from other teams. Support team growth and development by fostering a culture of creative thinking, craft excellence, and high performance
Build and Define the Future
Key Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years in design, with 8+ in product experience design and 5+ in strategic leadership roles, ideally within tech or product-driven environments.
- Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing leadership on complex, high-impact projects – particularly within financial platforms, marketplaces, or enterprise tools – showcasing your ability to communicate complex data and regulatory information through design.
- Deep Skill Set: Expertise in user-centered and interaction design, design systems, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS), and service design including end-to-end service blueprints.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead, manage and inspire product design teams, work cross-functionally, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Bonus Expertise: Knowledge in machine learning, AI-driven design, and experience with climate or finance-related platforms and systems mapping.
