TEAM AND ROLE
Physical Operations work in partnership with the Bio-methane and Bio-Diesel traders at STX. They are responsible for the logistics of moving a physical cargo via the appropriate mode of transport in accordance with the terms of the contract.
However the role of a physical operator often begins pre-trade, advising the Trader regarding the feasibility of trading specific products in markets or regions – and doesn’t end when the cargo reaches its destination.
The ability to communicate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders is a critical skill for a Physical Operator and the quality of those relationships can make a significant difference to optimizing the value of the trade and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities
- Building and implementing company-wide knowledge of Waste and By-Product handling
- Properly processing and verifying all contracts, product movements and supporting documentation according to waste and animal by-product legislation.
- Cooperating with Trading team on business opportunities based on legislation and regulation.
- Preparing and carrying out the internal audits
- Communicating with external authorities related to any waste compliance regulations/audits
- Implement and monitor all REACH imports, ensuring compliance with all guidelines
What does a rewarding career mean to you?
Key Requirements
- 2-3 years of specific experience working with legislation related to waste and animal by-products
- Experience as a QA/QC in the food or feed management industry would be desirable
- Experience within a trading or manufacturing environment – advantageous
- Excellent command of the English language both written and spoken. Dutch fluency is advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and an out of the box thinker
