Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage external stakeholder network to inform STX’s understanding of evolving policy landscape 
  • Provide intelligence and influence policy, legislative, and regulatory proceedings and implications for US environmental products and markets 
  • Collaborate closely with STX Traders and Analysts to develop proprietary knowledge and insight into environmental markets 
  • Identify and develop policy-driven business opportunities for STX in environmental markets 
  • Collaborate closely with STX global Policy Analysts, Traders, and Trading Analysts to share knowledge across products, markets, and geographies and develop best-in-class understanding of global environmental markets

Key Requirements

 

  • 5-10 years’ experience in US environmental policy 
  • Knowledge and experience working in policy, legislation, and regulation driving State and federal REC and Carbon markets in the United States 
  • Established network relationships with environmental policymakers and stakeholders, including industry groups, environmental groups, and officials and staff in key executive and legislative positions 
  • Commercial and/or trading experience a plus 
  • Advanced degree in policy, economics, business, engineering, management, sustainability, or finance a plus

Compensation and Benefits

 

STX intends on offering the selected candidate a competitive base salary within the range of $115,000-$165,000, based on a number of objective factors such as relevant experience, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications. The candidate may also be eligible for discretionary compensation as determined annually within the company fiscal year.
