TEAM AND ROLE:

We’re seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead our Post-Trade Engineering function—the critical infrastructure that powers financial integrations, trade settlements, and downstream data flows across our business. 

This role demands a hands-on, systems-focused leader who excels at the nexus of technology, people, and business impact. You’ll architect how we scale our core financial infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and trust as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead with vision: Build and scale multiple engineering teams across post-trade, settlements, and financial integration systems.
  • Own technical strategy: Define and execute the strategy for software development, architecture, and delivery.
  • Develop talent: Hire, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams while fostering a culture of accountability and improvement.
  • Drive technical excellence: Uphold rigorous engineering standards, oversee architecture decisions, and ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with product and operations leaders to align business priorities with scalable engineering solutions.
  • Translate between tech and business: Communicate complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.

Build and Define the Future

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Proven background leading software or platform engineering teams in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
  • Technical expertise: Strong foundation in backend or full-stack development, with hands-on experience in TypeScript, Python, and cloud-native architectures (AWS or similar).
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Leadership skills: Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent; ability to align technology decisions with business impact.
  • Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple teams and levels.
  • Mindset: Continuous improvement focus, systems thinking approach, and comfort working in complex, ambiguous environments.
