TEAM AND ROLE
The operations function forms the backbone of any company. At STX, the Operations team, which comprises IT, Finance, Human Resources, and Middle Office, works closely with all other teams and desks to ensure that STX continues to perform and deliver at an exceptionally high level. As a critical partner in the business, Operations also guarantees compliance with all the relevant rules and regulations. Moreover, the Operations team works collaboratively to make sure that STX has the necessary structures and processes in place to grow and develop further in new products, industries, and markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a key business partner, fostering a strong relationship with all business units, and providing support in monthly closure process, board of director deck and various analysis for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with finance departments and business units to develop annual budget and forecasts, preparing templates and compiling figures.
- Support management’s decision-making processes by analyzing financial data, providing insights, identifying trends and areas of improvement to optimize financial outcomes.
- Monitor and improve internal financial processes, reports and systems, working with cross-functional departments, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
- Prepare financial models, assess new business cases and various ad-hoc requests, reconciling and interpreting data to analyze variances and key metrics.
- Maintain and continuously improve performance indicators and dashboards.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in Business Control/FP&A, preferably experience in the commodity trading sector.
- Proven experience in business partnering with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations.
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and business intelligence software (Excel, Power BI, Lucanet, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Proactive, a hands-on mentality, result driven, high focus on details and flexible to support a global and fast-paced environment.
