    Understanding CSRD for Corporates

    The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) evolved since its initial entry into force in 2023. It now requires listed and large EU companies (typically >1,000 employees and >€450 million EU turnover) and equivalent non‑EU groups to disclose audited data on their sustainability strategy, climate risks and greenhouse gas emissions from their operations.
    Disclosures must follow the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), including ESRS E1 for Climate Change. The goal is to improve transparency, comparability, and accountability in how companies measure and report environmental impact.
