TEAM AND ROLE:

The BFT Trade Operations team supports STX’s Tickets business in Germany by managing the operational side of the trade lifecycle, from contract execution and deliveries to settlements and invoicing. As the business continues to grow and become more complex, ensuring operations remain efficient, scalable and well-controlled becomes increasingly important. 

In this role, you’ll combine hands-on operational responsibility with continuous improvement. You’ll build a deep understanding of the trade lifecycle while actively identifying opportunities to simplify processes, remove bottlenecks and improve the way the business operates. Working closely with stakeholders across Operations, Trading, Finance, Risk and Technology, you’ll help transform operational challenges into practical solutions that support the next phase of growth for the Tickets business. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute and support day-to-day Trade Operations activities, including contracts, settlements and deliveries. 
• Develop a deep understanding of the Tickets business and its end-to-end operational processes. 
• Identify operational bottlenecks, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement. 
• Partner with Operations, Trading, Finance, Risk and Technology teams to implement practical solutions. 
• Drive process improvement initiatives from concept through implementation. 
• Translate operational challenges into clear business requirements. 
• Support automation, process simplification and workflow improvements. 
• Act as a sparring partner to the wider team, challenging existing processes and helping build more scalable ways of working. 
• Step into operational priorities whenever required and help the team during peak workloads. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience in Trade Operations, Middle Office, Back Office, Supply Chain Operations or a similar operational environment. 
• Experience identifying operational pain points and implementing processes, controls and workflow improvements that deliver measurable business impact. 
• Experience improving processes, managing change or leading improvement initiatives. 
• A hands-on and pragmatic mindset. 
• Naturally curious and motivated to understand how things work before changing them. 
• Comfortable working with different stakeholders and challenging the status quo constructively. 
• Fluent in German and English. 
• Willingness to travel occasionally. 

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in environmental commodities, energy trading or commodity trading. 
• Exposure to operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies. 
• Experience working with Technology teams to improve processes or systems.
