ROLE OF A HR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
We’re looking for an HR Operations Specialist who is passionate about people, eager to learn about the different aspects of HR, and aspires to work in a global environment to join our growing STX US Team! This role, working closely with our US HR Advisor, US Recruitment Team, and Global HR Operations Team, will have a direct impact on shaping the STX US policies, procedures, and culture. This position will be hybrid, with at least 3 days in the New York Office.

STX intends on offering the selected candidate a competitive base salary within the range of $65,000-$75,000, based on a number of objective factors such as relevant experience, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications. The candidate may also be eligible for discretionary compensation as determined annually within the company fiscal year.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding including liaising with new hires and ensuring proper documentation is completed and uploaded
- Standardize local HR procedures and create process improvements and suggestions for broader team
- Lead US efforts on Global HR Operations projects through idea generation and execution
- Maintain internal HR systems with recurring data audits and updates
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that employees are set-up for first day with proper equipment, system access, and trainings
- Attend weekly meetings with Global HR Operations and Payroll to discuss headcount movement and relevant changes
- Support Recruitment in organizing the internship program, interview scheduling, and other talent planning objectives
- Respond to daily employee inquiries on benefits, HR policies, and other ad hoc items
- Monitor HR and industry trends, as well as any legislation that could impact employment
- Coordinate attendance for trainings locally and with global counterparts

Key Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience preferably in HR or similar function
- Ownership mentality and being able to take initiative in projects when needed
- Ability to think through problems critically and propose solutions
- Experience in using Microsoft Suite and intermediate-level Excel
- Capable of focusing on various tasks with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive mindset and who thrives working in an international and growing organization
