STX Group expands import capabilities with record-breaking vessel operation in Moerdijk

STX Group has marked a significant milestone in its logistics and supply chain capabilities. Together with their Marine Olie colleagues, they recently chartered the Med Pacific, a 170-meter vessel with a deadweight of over 26,000 MT, carrying a mixed cargo of animal feed, biofuel feedstocks and biodiesel from Latin America to the TTM terminal in Moerdijk. As the largest vessel ever to enter the port and berth at the jetty, it demonstrates STX Group’s ability to handle increasingly large and complex flows into Northwest Europe.

The successful handling of the largest vessel ever to enter the Port of Moerdijk highlights the company’s growing ability to manage large-scale imports and support increasingly complex product flows into Northwest Europe.

This operation expands STX Group’s logistical reach and reinforces its capability to consolidate diverse product streams into a single shipment, creating additional market optionality, improving cost efficiency and enhancing flexibility across its supply network.

With this foundation in place, STX Group is now focused on scaling its import capacity and further developing its Latin American sourcing strategy to capture new growth and arbitrage opportunities.
