Unlocking Value Chain Decarbonization with Market-Based Instruments

Scope 3 emissions often represent the largest share of an organization’s climate footprint, yet they remain among the most challenging emissions to address. This session will explore how organizations are translating Scope 3 ambitions into action, from establishing emissions baselines and setting targets to engaging suppliers and procuring environmental attribute certificates.

Moderated by Jordan Woll (STX Group), the discussion will feature experts from the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS), founders of the Green-E clean energy certification, who will share perspectives on evolving standards, market developments, supplier engagement strategies, and emerging approaches to value chain renewable electricity procurement. Christine Pries of STACK Infrastructure will bring a practitioner perspective, sharing lessons learned from her organization’s Scope 3 journey, including data collection, goal setting, stakeholder engagement, and implementation opportunities and challenges.
