Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs)

Green Electricity for your Business

Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) describe global instruments which certify that a specific unit (usually 1 MWh) of electricity was produced from a renewable source. EACs comply with Greenhouse Gas Protocol Scope 2 Guidance. Energy Attribute Certificates (including RECs, I-RECs, REGOs, GoOs, etc.) are the only widely recognized instruments guaranteeing the renewable credentials of the supplied electricity. These certificates are a tradeable commodity.

Several manners to reach renewable energy targets exist and as global CO2 emissions are to be reduced by at least 45% by 2030, documenting your energy by using EACs is an effective way to improve sustainability.STX Group has established its reputation as a reliable partner for over 4000 counterparties through innovation, expertise, and liquidity provision. Whether your needs are for voluntary purposes or compliance markets, our specialists will guide you through available options, giving you improved market visibility, enabling you to make better-informed procurement decisions.

* Globally there are several different EAC systems to claim the use of renewable energy. The map below shows you the participating countries and market boundaries of the most common schemes:
