TEAM AND ROLE:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll help build and scale the core systems that power our environmental commodities business. From deal capture and pricing to position management and execution of workflows, you’ll develop digital infrastructure that enables scalable, auditable, and efficient operations across rapidly growing markets.

This is a high-impact role for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of product, platform, and performance. You’ll work closely with traders, product managers, and other engineers to translate complex market dynamics into clean, cloud-native systems that shape how we operate on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

Build core systems: Design and implement scalable services for pricing, execution, reconciliation, and operational flows across carbon, renewables, and other asset classes.
Engineer for resilience and control: Develop systems that are high-performing, fault-tolerant, and compliant—supporting real-time workflows and strong auditability.
Full-stack contributions: Work across backend services, infrastructure, and front-end applications—bringing a product mindset to every layer of the stack.
Partner across the business: Collaborate with Trading, Legal, Risk, and Ops to solve real-world challenges through thoughtful, well-architected solutions.
Elevate engineering practice: Mentor others, shape architectural decisions, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, pragmatism, and delivery.
Innovate with purpose: Explore emerging technologies like LLMs and real-time analytics to push the boundaries of what our systems can do.

Build and Define the Future

Key Requirements

6+ years of software development experience, ideally in fintech, market infrastructure, or B2B SaaS at scale.
Strong in TypeScript, React, AWS, and serverless architectures; hands-on with Kinesis/Kafka and Kubernetes.
Skilled in backend development using Python or Node.js; familiar with infrastructure-as-code tools like CDK or Terraform.
Solid grasp of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and modern CI/CD practices.
Bonus: Experience with trading workflows, commodities, or carbon/energy markets.
Interest or experience in LLMs/AI for business or operational automation; strong communicator with a systems mindset.
