ROLE OF A JUNIOR CREDIT RISK – WORKING STUDENT
This working student role will focus on assessments of STX counterparties’ creditworthiness and structuring of transactions. Job duties assume high involvement in day-to-day interaction with front office, regular communication with insurance companies and preparation of different risk reports. Expect to be contributing from the first day of your work. You’ll learn how to assess risk right across our business. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the existing STX Credit Risk Management Team to build-out a best-in-class Trading Credit Risk Management function
- Conduct credit analysis on STX’s trading counterparties, including financial statement analysis, market trends, industry, economic and regulatory factors to prepare recommendations for credit limits
- Work with the Commercial Teams to give timely feedback on credit appetite, credit mitigation and structuring solutions
- Produce and improve credit risk reporting for both daily monitoring and strategic credit portfolio analysis
- Work with other key stakeholders in the trade life cycle, including Legal (documentation), Market Risk (credit exposures), KYC (associated risks), Front Office (risk appetite), etc.
Build and Define the Future
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. Obtaining of advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Finance or CFA) is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards; strong understanding of credit analysis, risk management concepts and techniques
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; a critical analyst with strong business and financial acumen
- Strong understanding of derivatives, financial markets, and trading operations
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, and advanced Excel skills; knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, etc) and Power BI is a plus
- Available to work 16 – 24 hours from Sept 1 – May 31 (9 months) and already living in the Netherlands
