TEAM AND ROLE
As a Collections Lead, you will join our Accounting team, which is part of the broader Finance function at STX. You play a key role in safeguarding cash flow while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with our counterparties through a thoughtful and solution-oriented approach. Working closely with Front Office and Operations, you help ensure financial risks are managed proactively and processes continue to evolve as the business grows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of outstanding invoices, deciding on the appropriate approach per case through financial analysis and direct engagement with counterparties.
  • Professionally approach debtors by phone and/or in writing to discuss outstanding invoices and make payment arrangements.
  • Negotiate and agree on sustainable payment arrangements or alternative solutions that balance recovery with long-term relationships.
  • Maintain accurate administration by recording all contact moments, agreements, and balance verifications in internal systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Front Office and Operations teams to optimize processes, improve systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in payments, collections, credit management, or a similar customer-facing financial role.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with empathy, enabling you to assess financial situations and handle complex conversations effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, including the confidence to manage difficult discussions professionally.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with experience working in systems and a drive to improve customer experience and processes.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, willing to work in our Amsterdam office
