TEAM AND ROLE:
As an AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how we work, applying cutting-edge technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs) to streamline operations, enhance data intelligence, and drive real business value. You’ll be part of a growing technology function that’s helping us evolve from a traditional cost centre to a true strategic partner. By building intelligent systems, automating key workflows, and embedding AI into the heart of our operations, you’ll help STX move faster, work smarter, and make an even greater impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered tools and agents using LLMs to support document processing, summarization, and workflow automation.
- Build performant and elegantly designed AI-powered tools to automate and augment use cases.
- Collaborate with teams across the company to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows and business processes.
- Stay ahead of the latest AI advancements and contribute to the technical roadmap for AI adoption at STX.
- Implement MLOps practices for continuous deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of machine learning and AI models.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, hand-on coding and collaboration.
- 3+ years of industry domain experience developing and deploying secure, novel tools and automation is preferrable.
- Polyglot programmer, Python, NodeJS, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS, but Azure or GCP is also acceptable), infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform, etc. ) and exposure to big data tools.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, including model versioning, pipeline orchestration, and production deployment.
