Traders of Environmental Progress
STX Group is a global environmental commodities trader offering physical and financial solutions across compliance and voluntary systems for energy, fuels, gas and carbon markets.
As transport decarbonization gains momentum, U.S. states like California, Oregon and Washington have implemented Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) credit systems to drive cleaner fuel adoption and electric mobility.
These market-based programs reward low-carbon fuel use and zero-emission vehicle deployment by generating tradable credits. Obligated parties use these credits to meet regulatory targets, while fuel producers, fleet operators and OEMs unlock new revenue streams. For traders, the growing market offers price signals, liquidity and optionality.
STX connects counterparties across renewable electricity and fuel value chains. Our integrated approach in trading biofuels, compliance tickets and other carbon credits gives us a unique, comprehensive view of revenue optimization in decarbonization projects.
As a market pioneer in Germany and an active player across Europe and the U.S., we ensure smooth execution, transparent pricing and access to credit buyers. Whether you operate a small fleet or manage national infrastructure, STX helps you capture value from every kilowatt-hour charged.
ACT ZEV Program
The ZEV Credit Program is designed to promote the adoption of zero-emission vehicles. Mandated by states like California, it requires automakers to sell a certain percentage of ZEVs. If they fail to meet these targets, they must buy credits from manufacturers exceeding requirements.
Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS)
The LCFS is a market-based program designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from transportation fuels. Adopted in California and similar to programs in Oregon, Washington, and Canada, it sets annual carbon intensity (CI) targets for fuels. Companies using low-carbon fuels generate LCFS credits, which can be sold to obligated parties needing to meet their compliance targets.
