This is the energy that flows through power lines and powers homes, businesses, and industries. However, it doesn&#8217;t inherently carry any environmental label or guarantee regarding its source.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside the physical electricity generation, the facility produces <strong>environmental benefits<\/strong> that can independently be bought and sold. These attributes confirm the positive environmental impact and incentivizes organizations to invest in renewable power sources.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RECs are certified and <a href=\"http:\/\/resource-solutions.org\/app\/themes\/ChildTheme\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/07\/The-Legal-Basis-for-RECs.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tracked by independent organizations<\/a> to ensure their authenticity.
