ROLE OF A TRADER
As a Senior Ethanol Trader, you will play an important role in the further roll out of the Fuel Ethanol trading activities at STX and you would be in of shaping the future strategy for the book. In this highly competitive market, you’ll constantly engage with buyers and sellers to fully grasp their needs and apply strategic thinking to tailor-made solutions that cater to these requirements. This role entails exposure to a broad spectrum of stakeholders, both internally and externally. By working strategically to offer clients sustainable solutions, you genuinely help them move forward towards a greener future.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building out and leading global ethanol trading activities
- Setting product strategy, tracking and analyzing product streams
- Mapping and developing business opportunities within the industry from scratch
- Generating cross desk trading opportunities with ethanol-related products
- Becoming the main information source for your product and client portfolio
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive commercial experience in a dynamic trading environment
- Experience with business development and complex transactions is preferred
- Fluent English speaker, any other language is a plus
- At least 5 years’ experience in the European fuel ethanol markets ideally in combination with exposure to other environmental commodities-related products
- Strong problem solver
- Affinity with finance and deal structuring
- Strong commercial drive and a proactive attitude
- Living in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam
