We’re looking for a Senior Analyst within the Renewable Gas Markets to join our business and the extremely dynamic market we operate in, and to embark on a journey with us towards a better tomorrow.

ABOUT THE TEAM

We help them transition from fossil fuels to renewable alternatives. Our team originates new products or solutions on behalf of our clients and that requires an innovative mindset, especially in this new market, which is largely uncharted territory. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for analyzing supply & demand fundamentals across RNG Market and other environmental commodities that STX trades. 
  • Perform analysis of compliance mandates and voluntary demand versus current/prospective supply
  • Confirm the data passes a creditability assessment as it can become unreliable
  • Create cash flow analysis on trades
  • Sensitivity tables covering price volatility / probability to help mgmt. vet risk on trades
  • Work on prospective asset/company acquisitions
  • Pro forma work on project development (RNG production)
  • Ultimately build/manage a team of junior embedded analysts covering multiple LOBs that will double as talent pipeline for company
  • Collaborate with policy analysts on regulatory / fundamentals overlap
  • Carbon accounting to support buy interest from corporates

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years’ experience in data manipulation and forecasting. Strong skills in data representation, charting, interpretation, and presentation are critical. 
  • Experience working with Renewables or RINs/LCFS is a plus, but not a requirement. Candidate will have had a focus performing analytics for a trade desk within energy markets or more general commodities.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate complex data succinctly to traders/management.  Willing/able to establish a personal POV on data analysis.
  • 5+ years’ work in analytics with emphasis on M&A, asset development (pro forma work), supply & demand fundamentals, cash flow analysis. 
  • Experience managing junior employees is a plus, since this role should ultimately build out an analytics desk for our NY office
