Sales Trader – Brazilian Market

We’re looking for a Sales Trader, fluent in Portuguese, to join our business and the extremely dynamic market we operate in, and to embark on a journey with us towards a better tomorrow. 

ABOUT THE FRONT OFFICE

Our team works across various domains, including electricity, renewable gas, carbon offsets, biofuels and energy efficiency. We engage with clients in different markets and countries on a daily basis, and it’s our job to understand their needs and translate them into effective, efficient solutions. To maintain STX’s position as market leader in the fast-changing environmental commodities field, we are continuously capitalizing on new opportunities and optimizing our offering.

ROLE OF A SALES TRADER

As a Sales Trader, you play an important role in driving the business forward. In this highly competitive market, you’ll constantly engage with prospective clients to fully grasp their needs and apply strategic thinking to tailor-make solutions that cater to these requirements. This role entails exposure to a broad spectrum of professionals at all levels, as well as to companies from various industries and markets. By working strategically to offer clients sustainable solutions, you genuinely help them move forward towards a greener future.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expanding our existing customer portfolio to contribute to growth efforts
  • Analyzing data and conducting research on the renewables market within the LATAM environmental commodities space
  • Being an expert in timing the market in order to derive the best results by acting as a single point of contact for your customers
  • Proposing new deal structures complying with market requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent Portuguese speaker in a business level, and fluent in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related fields
  • 3-5 years of working experience in a similar industry is advantageous
  • Experience gained in Trading, Business Development, Sales or Key Account Management, preferably with Brazilian based companies/clients
  • Understanding of the financial markets
  • Essential commercial acumen and analytical skills
  • Working rights in the United States

On the environmental commodities side, we intermediate and trade a wide variety of different renewable energy certificates and physical renewables, such as biofuels and biodiesel. Over the years, we have expanded to trade in a diverse range of new products and have moved into numerous new markets. Such developments account for the rapid growth the company has enjoyed since its inception.
