TEAM AND ROLE:
The operations function forms the backbone of any company. At STX, the Operations team, which comprises IT, Finance, Human Resources, and Middle Office, works closely with all other teams and desks to ensure that STX continues to perform and deliver at an exceptionally high level. As a critical partner in the business, Operations also guarantees compliance with all the relevant rules and regulations. Moreover, the Operations team works collaboratively to make sure that STX has the necessary structures and processes in place to grow and develop further in new products, industries, and markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Structuring the tax planning of the STX Group
- Overseeing the performance of the tax team by managing and developing team members, providing ongoing guidance, encouragement, coaching and support.
- Providing guidance and assistance to staff and clients on tax questions, tax planning opportunities and strategies.
- Meeting established time frames and deadlines.
- Reviewing tax returns and working paper documentation.
- Researching and interpreting changing tax legislation, developing strategies and sharing knowledge with the team.
What does a rewarding career mean to you?
Key Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant work experience as in-house tax expert, preferably experience with or in the commodity trading sector
- Master’s degree in the areas of Tax Law
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop team members.
- Tax accreditation.
- MS Office proficiency incl. Power BI, Excel, Dynamics etc.
- Fluent in English and preferably in Dutch
