Today, companies are constantly urged to drastically reduce their carbon footprint. By trading in a wide variety of renewable energy products, STX enables businesses to achieve this goal. In doing so, we contribute to a more transparent environmental commodities market and, therefore, a greener world. We’re looking for a Senior VPPA Specialist to join our business and the extremely dynamic market, and to embark on a journey with us towards a better tomorrow.

ABOUT THE FRONT OFFICE

Turning opportunities into solutions – that’s the specialty of STX’s Front Office. Our team works across various domains, including electricity, renewable gas, carbon offsets, biofuels and energy efficiency. We engage with clients in different markets and countries on a daily basis, and it’s our job to understand their needs and translate them into effective, efficient solutions. To maintain STX’s position as market leader in the fast-changing environmental commodities field, we are continuously capitalizing on new opportunities and optimizing our offering.

TEAM AND ROLE

As a (V)PPA advisor, you will play a crucial role within the Global Renewable Energy team, a highly regarded entity in the Global EAC and US REC market. Collaborating closely with the Strive team, our corporate climate action experts, you will contribute to the decarbonization journey of large and mid-tier corporate clients.

In your capacity as a (V)PPA advisor, you will guide corporate clients in devising effective strategies to reduce scope 2 emissions. Your responsibilities include identifying client needs, sourcing projects, and facilitating efficient contracting between project developers and corporations for the execution of (V)PPA contracts.

The renewable energy market is dynamic, with constant changes driven by voluntary legislation such as CDP and RE100, as well as connections to other environmental laws like green Hydrogen. This landscape brings both uncertainty and opportunities for corporations on their decarbonization journey.

Your role as an advisor is pivotal in helping clients navigate this dynamic environment, ensuring they capitalize on opportunities and establish enduring relationships within the corporate world.
