ROLE OF A SENIOR GLOBAL LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

As our Global Learning & Development Specialist, you are responsible for designing, innovating, improving, and delivering STX’s Global Learning and development strategy. You will work closely with the Head of People and Culture, and get the chance to play a key role in the growth and development of our current and future colleagues. You will develop initiatives to enable the business to deliver on strategic and operational objectives through skill and capability development. You will work closely with key stakeholders and subject matter experts, allowing this position to support business changes and challenges from a learning and development point of view. The role ensures the effective design, implementation, and delivery of regionally relevant learning plans and programs and you will also have the opportunity to travel to many of our global offices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate learning interventions and programs to assigned delegates in line with the direction of the STX’s strategic goals and objectives
  • Analyse the learning needs in detail and uses the appropriate methodology and content for maximum learning and performance development impact
  • Develop learning programs/curricula based on the learning need analysis
  • Ambassador of the People Development learning practices and offerings in the countries active
  • Significant experience working with design, development, facilitation, evaluation, and ongoing adjustment of learning programs
  • Demonstrates a capability for creating a link between business goals, employee performance, and learning.
  • Ability to work independently and experience in collaborating and facilitating learning programs

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Learning and Development experience owning learning paths including the entire learning cycle: Needs analysis, development, design, delivery, evaluation
  • An energetic and methodical personality with a passion for driving a culture of continuous professional development and creating a coaching culture throughout the company
  • You are creative, and you like a challenge
  • You are communicatively strong and hands-on
  • You have good communication skills in English, Dutch is a advantageous

ROLE OF AN INTERIM PAYROLL SPECIALIST

As an International Payroll Specialist you are end to end responsible for the payroll process in all countries where our offices are based. Of course, we want to pay our employees all over the world their salaries on time and ensure timely and accurate processing of the payroll. This includes collecting and providing payroll data to the local payroll providers and reviewing the completed payroll reports. Currently, our colleagues are based in Amsterdam (HQ), Gothenburg, Hamburg, Lyon, New York, and Singapore, and we are expanding further on a global level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

On a monthly basis, you are responsible for collecting all payroll data from internal departments, organizing and submitting it to the local payroll provider in a timely and accurate manner, and:

  • Review monthly payroll output reports to ensure (variable) data is processed correctly
  • Be the first point of contact and sparring partner for our local payroll providers around payroll processes and other payroll-related communications
  • Be the go-to person for all payroll-related questions for our employees
  • Keep track of and ensure compliance regarding all local legislations
  • Prepare 30% ruling applications and carry out regular checks
  • Prepare and submit monthly changes to our pension provider and insurances and check payroll invoices
  • Participate in the payroll implementation process for new countries, if needed
  • Work together with external parties (e.g. local lawyers, tax advisors) in case you need any advice on the practice of local labor law
  • Prepare and align with the Finance team on payroll reporting
  • Work together with the HR and Finance Team to implement automation, innovation, and any continuous improvements around the payroll processing and reporting
  • Optimize employee processes and experience

KEY REQUIREMENTS

You have a few years of work experience in an HR department of a commercial and international-oriented organization, and:

  • 5 + years of experience in (international) payroll for the Netherlands, experience with further EU countries is advantageous
  • Experience with compensation and benefits; setting up new entities, and 30% ruling
  • Ability to identify and mitigate (compliance) risks and well versed in local labor law
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures
  • Proactive, flexible, and service orientated
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, accuracy and a high level of integrity
  • A multitasker who can prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Business fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written and any further (EU) languages is a big plus

At STX we are growing rapidly and therefore we are going to expand our HR team. Currently, the team has an HR Lead, HR Business Partner, 2 Junior HR Advisors, and a Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits colleague and we want to add a HR Advisor to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for an inventive people player who wants to roll up their sleeves to execute a full range of people topics, with a real hands-on problem-solving/execution mindset in an international environment. This role is perfect for someone who loves challenges and a scale-up environment that requires change management skills and flexibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing HR documents, like employment contracts, letters, and policies
  • Answering employee’s queries about all HR-related issues
  • Organization and maintenance of personnel records
  • Coordinate relocation for international employees together with our vendors
  • Facilitate onboarding process and host the onboarding day for new (international) employees
  • Participate in HR projects (e.g. further develop onboarding, L&D, optimize processes), you can generate new ideas and put them into practice

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or any other relevant field
  • 1-3 years of professional working experience, this also includes internships
  • You are a natural people person, a great communicator, and have a vision on in how to get the best out of our people
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge about the Dutch labor law
  • Proactive attitude and you like to work in a dynamic environment
  • Able to prioritize important projects and work independently
  • You are living in (the area of) Amsterdam
