ABOUT THE TEAM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing purchase invoices and expense reports according to the existing procedures
  • Processing of payment and bank transactions
  • Daily reconciliations of bank statements and cash flow overviews
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between the general ledger and the sub-ledger, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the finance team with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the finance department, including audits
  • Provide information and answer financial questions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify possibilities for improvement and procedures, within the financial administrative organization
  • Various ad-hoc requests

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of finance and accounting or equivalent certification
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent analytical (Excel) skills
  • Enthusiastic and critical person with a good understanding of the accounting principles
  • Eager to assume responsibilities, and learn new tasks.
  • Able to define priorities, and work autonomously
  • Proactive, hands-on, and innovative
  • Fluent in English

ABOUT THE ROLE

The treasury analyst’s main responsibility is to run liquidity, FX analysis, and related activities. Next to that, is responsible for bringing treasury function to the next level and incorporating future growth of the Company. That includes implementation of a treasury management system and/or payment hub, optimization of the processes, and so on. Data for analysis is scattered across different systems so good data skills are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts
  • Analysis of FX exposure
  • Reconciliation of bank statements
  • Payment’s processing
  • Preparation of treasury-related documentation
  • Liaison with both internal and external counterparties
  • Treasury reporting
  • TMS implementation support
  • Automation of treasury activities
  • Processes optimization

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 0-2 years of experience in treasury/finance
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, economics, or mathematics
  • Fluent in English
  • Advanced Excel user, having experience with bank-client systems
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational abilities
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Quick learner, aspiring for challenges and self-development
  • Preference for having data skills (e.g., VBA, Python), experience with treasury management systems, and trade finance instruments

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring exactness and agreement in his/her work operations and making sure that the international VAT and Customs reports and statements are correct, duly filled and submitted to the governing agents within the given time
  • Giving operational tax advice to internal departments with regards to all legal contracts and agreements and application of VAT and Customs rules for front office, back office and accounting;
  • Supervising and overseeing the VAT and Customs audits when done by the relevant authorities
  • Upholding and handling the principles and methods, shaping and outlining the dealings and other technical undertakings related to VAT and Customs
  • Negotiating with the organization’s international tasks, projects and undertakings on various VAT and Customs issues with respect to their functions and controls.
  • Ensuring compliance with rules and regulations in coordination with tax specialist;
  • Implementing and maintaining a VAT and Customs policy;
  • Ensuring relevant tax best practices are informed to the businesses and kept up to date by giving training
  • Participating in VAT and Customs related projects

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Fiscal Economics;
  • 5+ years in VAT reporting, previous experience in commodity trading is a plus;
  • Experience with Customs is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of the European (focus on Dutch) VAT legislation and regulations;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Available for at least 32 hours per week
  • Service orientation and ability to keep good relations with all stakeholders
  • Strong communication, planning & analytical skills
  • Passion for results
  • Organizational sensitivity

  • Manage the forecasting and budget process (incl. templates)
  • Perform financial (variance) analysis
  • Assist in simply improving the internal systems 
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Financial Reporting system
  • Provide (and discuss) the various teams with financial reports
  • Optimization of the Financial processes and implementation of process improvements
  • Maintain and continuously improve KPI dashboards
  • Various ad-hoc requests and analysis

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Business Control, preferably experience in the commodity trading sector
  • Bachelor`s/Master’s degree in the areas of Controlling, Finance or Accounting
  • Experience with Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
  • Fluent in English and preferably in Dutch
  • Available for at least 32 hours per week
  • Proactive, and a hands-on mentality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter and autonomous
